Two Hour Delay on January 15, 2015

All Wake County Public School System schools will operate on a two-hour delay Thursday, January 15, due to possible icing of secondary roads and isolated areas overnight.

When Banks Road is delayed:

•   The Y program will open at 9:00 on a 2 hour delay morning.  No before school activities such as the Boomers.  Breakfast will not be served on delay mornings.

We will continue to monitor the weather and have staff checking road conditions throughout the county early Thursday morning.  You should monitor local media for updated weather delay and closing information.

Open House Information

Interested in learning more about Banks Road Elementary? Come on out to one of our Open House sessions.  Today at 10:00 and 6:00 I will give a tour and share out specifics about how we approach the learning and teaching process here at Banks.  I look forward to meeting you! Mrs. Graf

School Messenger January 5, 2015

Happy Monday to you! First things first, Happy New Year! I can’t believe that we have entered the year 2015 and we are half way through the school year. This is a time of reflection and opportunity. I am already setting goals for the New Year and I hope that you take this opportunity to discuss the opportunities for your children before they return to school. Anything is possible in 2015…our students can set personal and academic goals. This doesn’t have to be difficult task, an example would be to increase their reading level by 2 levels for third and fourth quarter each, or to master all math facts from 0-12, etc. It’s worth a conversation Trailblazers! My goals…professionally…to ensure that Banks Road Elementary is a great place for learning and teaching and personally…to be the best Mom I can be in 2015! Life is short Trailblazers and every day is an opportunity for greatness!
